Kim Voge, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s (PYLUSD) Digital Learning Instructional Coach, was recently asked to be a guest presenter for the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 in Illinois.

Through her work with the EdTech team in preparing professional learning for our PYLUSD teachers, Mrs. Voge has earned the reputation as a leading presenter in Math Literacy and incorporating technology to enhance learning.

While in Naperville, Mrs. Voge provided teachers with cooperative learning strategies and ways to include key literacy elements: reading, writing, speaking, and listening into mathematics. She exposed the group to the use of Google Draw, Answer Garden, Kahoot, Tagul, and Padlet. Math related resources included SolveMe, Would You Rather, and Which One Doesn’t Belong.

Feedback from her presentation was so positive, indicating learning could be immediately implemented in the classroom, so she has been invited back during PYLUSD school holidays to share more of her innovative teaching strategies with Naperville’s teachers. Most people in PYLUSD recognize Mrs. Voge by her bitmoji which is fitting for a digital learning specialist. To create your own, customized bitmoji, visit bitmoji.com.
