On January 16, the City of Placentia presented seven Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) art teachers with individual grants as a part of their Cultural Arts Project for Every Student program, otherwise known as CAPES.
The “CAPES” program provides grants to help teachers bring a curriculum related art project to life for students in grades K through 12, up to $500.
The lucky teachers are Jeff Schumerth, Audra Ross, Sherrie Olive, Julie Masone, Catherine Wilson, Laurel Ayer, and Janmarie Halliday.
