Congratulations to the Valencia High School (VHS) Speech and Debate Club on a dominant performance at Orange County Debate State Qualifiers! In Parliamentary Debate, Jay Kim (11) and Francisco Acosta (12) advanced to the quarterfinal round of the tournament, finishing as the seventh overall team in the league.
Jacqueline Duong (9) and Ethan Thio (12) entered elimination rounds as the undefeated number one seed, advancing to the final round of the tournament and finishing with a flawless 6-0 record. Jacqueline and Ethan conclude this season as the 2018 Orange County League Champions and will represent both VHS and Orange County at State Championships in April. Great job, Tigers!
