Parkview’s Kelly Kudlik nominated for Orange County Register’s Artist of the Year

Kelly Kudlik.

Kelly Kudlik, a student at Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s (PYLUSD) Parkview School, has been nominated for Artist of the Year in Vocal Music for 2018, specifically in the Non-Classical specialty.  This award is sponsored by the Orange County Register.

Although a full time student at Parkview, Kelly takes concurrent classes at El Dorado High School, one being Advanced Women’s Ensemble. This is an audition only, women only choir. Mr. Ryan Yoder, her teacher there, nominated her for this prestigious award. His statement about Kelly: “…She is diligent in preparation and takes pride in giving excellent performances when she sings. Her vocal abilities are clearly advanced but what sets her apart is the heart she brings into each performance.”

Not only does Kelly sing beautifully and play the piano, she is also a stellar student with a full day of core classes that include several AP courses. Kelly is self motivated, a hard worker, helpful, and whatever she accomplishes, she seems to be able to do it effortlessly. She is selfless taking on many responsibilities that benefit others. One example of this is volunteering to help students in summer school. She is an active cast member in Parkview’s play “Into The Woods, Jr.” playing the part of ‘Cinderella’ and assistant director for “Aladdin, Jr”.

Kelly is a Leadership and National Honor Society member. She lives in Placentia and is very close to her family, having a twin brother Kevin, who attends El Dorado, and her parents Drs. Cindy and Dennis Kudlik, dentists in the community.

The Parkview community is very proud of Kelly!
