Deputy Chief of Staff Rick Simpson and Supervisor Shawn Nelson speak to high school students

Rick Simpson, deputy chief of staff to Speaker of the Assembly Toni G. Atkins (Democrat), and Shawn Nelson, Orange County supervisor (Republican), visited the El Dorado High School library on Thursday, Nov. 5, to speak to high school U.S. government students.

The two men spoke to students for about an hour. They each made an opening remark for about 10 minutes, then took questions from the students.

It was fun for the students to watch democracy in action!
