Melrose students learn about teamwork through GOALS program

Melrose GOALS students.

Third, fourth, and fifth grade students at Melrose Elementary School have the opportunity to participate in GOALS, an after school program that teaches kids how to ice skate, play hockey, and most important, how to be on a team.  The students are held responsible for taking care of their gear, practicing good sportsmanship, and learning how to play well with others.

Recently, the Melrose Marlins played a game against the Rio Vista Jaguars, another Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) school.  Students practice and play after school at the Anaheim Ducks’ Ice Rink.
