Valadez Middle School Academy Tech Club wins runner up at pumpkin launch contest

The Valadez Middle School Academy Tech Club participated in the eighth annual Discovery Cube Pumpkin Launch trebuchet contest at California State University, Fullerton, over the weekend.

The Valadez team manned a bright green and orange trebuchet extending over 20 feet in height when launched. Ten students took turns firing the pumpkins down the field.

After hitting a target at least 200 feet down the field, the team from Valadez took home second place.

The Valadez kids did amazing!
