George Key School holds annual jog-a-thon and carnival with help from Venture Academy

On April 27, George Key School, in partnership with Venture Academy students and staff, held its sixth annual jog-a-thon and carnival on campus. Students, families, and members of the community enjoyed the opportunity to support George Key through the jog-a-thon, as well as participate in activities such as a photo booth, face painting, games, and more.

This year, Venture Academy students and staff helped tremendously by setting up easy-ups, hanging signs, putting up balloons, and assembling games. Each individual classroom on the Adult Transition Program’s campus was tasked with creating a fun activity for the event.

Even special visitors from the Placentia Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority joined in on the fun, participating in pictures in the photo booth and in front of the fire truck.

All-in-all, the event raised about $2,000 in support of George Key students and programs. Way to go, Bobcats!
