On Tuesday, Aug. 4, Andrea Cervantes, an eighth grader from Kraemer Middle School, gave a spectacular speech at the AVID Summer Institute conference in San Diego.
Andrea was joined by her Kraemer AVID family, friends, teachers and 40 additional students from Valencia High School.
It was a great trip!
AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college and other postsecondary opportunities.
