Eastside Christian Church reaches out to Ruby Drive Cougars

On a cool, rainy day, 106 Ruby Drive Elementary School students were greeted by 49 volunteers from Eastside Christian Church on their Service Day.  Preppy K through sixth grade students rotated through four stations including Acting, Physical Education, Tangram Puzzles and Card Games. Students were engaged and having fun as they used critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, math skills, and creative skills as they improvised scenes.
Church volunteers cleaned out the Kindergarten sandbox and the six garden boxes at the school. At the conclusion of Saturday School, Ruby Drive was presented with new toys for the sandbox, six garden baskets filled with gardening tools and seeds for each of the grade levels and all 106 students went home with a deck of cards, Tangram Puzzles and a special care package labeled “You are Loved.”

Ruby Drive thanks Eastside Christian Church for their time and commitment to their school.
