Congratulations to Valencia High School (VHS) students Jiwon Jeong and Aayush Somani for successfully competing in the National Chemistry Olympiad competition on April 21 at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa.

In total, only eleven county students made it to this level.  Both Tigers received Honors, which placed them in the top 144 students in the United States.  Only 17 high schools in the country had their students perform better than them combined. Great job, Tigers!

Back in March of this year, Valencia’s Chemistry Olympiad team earned first place in the county following a rigorous local competition.  Read more about it here.
