Congratulations to the Valencia High School (VHS) girls swim teams for sweeping league this year! Both the junior varsity and varsity teams were crowned 2018 League Champions.
The varsity team was undefeated in dual meets going into league prelims and finals and had outstanding swims on both days. Although it was an overall team effort with everyone swimming at their best, senior Stephanie Offner, senior Celine Dong, sophomore Makenna Sanders, and freshman Amanda Tang fearlessly lead the Tigers — each dropping time and earning top spots in league while qualifying for CIF for relays and individual events.
At CIF, Stephanie, Celine, Makenna, and Amanda all swam fast enough to made it back to the Finals. Valencia’s top finisher in CIF was Celine Dong (pictured below), finishing 8th place for her 100 yard Breaststroke.
