On May 16, Topaz Elementary School held one of its monthly Second Harvest Food distributions.  Over one hundred Topaz area families received fresh produce from Second Harvest of OC, canned and boxed food, books, and women’s undergarments from community volunteer Vaishali Patel.

In addition, students Aron Bhavsar (Bryant Ranch School), and Roshan and Nishant Ambegaonkar distributed over 800 dental hygiene items to families.  The students have been able to collect over 2500 dental hygiene items from drives at their elementary schools and in the community!

A good time was had by all, and families were especially thrilled to receive a flat of fresh strawberries each!  The next and last food distributions of the year will be held at Topaz on June 13 and at Melrose Elementary School on May 29.

“Thank you very much to all volunteers from the Yorba Linda Rotary Club who make this distribution possible with their hard work,” mentioned PYLUSD Homeless Liason, Jon Matson.  “We’d also like to thank former PYLUSD Debbie Storing for being a consistent volunteer with us all year! PYLUSD appreciates you!”
