Yorba Linda High Class of 2018 earns over $5.1 million in college scholarships, honored at annual senior awards night

On Monday, May 21, Yorba Linda High School held its annual Senior Awards Program.  The Mustangs senior Class of 2018 recognized over 200 students that Monday evening.

The Class of 2018 earned $5.1 million in scholarships and grants for college. Eight students earned an “A” in every class they took while at Yorba Linda High.  There were 11 National Merit, Commended and Recognized Scholars.

Additionally, the Class of 2018 volunteered in their community with 53,700 hours of service, while 18 students accumulated over 500 hours each.  There were 75 Departmental Awards given, as well as the “Mustang of the Year” awards given to Mikayla Buscaino and Nathan Yi.  The two are pictured above with proud principal, Dave Flynn.
