Golden Elementary School holds dance-a-thon in benefit of documentary

Golden dance a thon.

On May 29, Mrs. Ann Rago’s class at Golden Elementary School held a “dance-a-thon” and raised $1,800 in support of the documentary called “Ballet for All Kids.”

The school set up the multi-purpose room to look like a discotheque with lights and banners.  Dance teachers came in and taught the kids specific types of dance.

Mrs. Rago’s husband, who serves as the Chair of Dance at Loyola Marymount University, did a warm up routine with the students and acted as the event “DJ.”  All Golden Eagles had a great time!

The director of the document, Dan Watt, showed up to talk to the kids about his project, and he intends to include them all in the credits of his final cut.
