George Key School cheered on the Placentia Police Department as they ran by with the Special Olympics torch on Friday, June 1. The streets were filled with lights, sirens, and cheers as the torch came down Golden Avenue in Placentia. Staff and students from George Key held signs, flags, pom poms and handmade torches in support of the police and the Special Olympics. The officers and volunteers from the department took time for high fives and photos before they continued their leg of the relay.

“It was an honor to be a part of an event that holds such special meaning for our school,” stated principal Kim Smith.
