El Dorado’s freshman and sophomore OCAD team has a successful season

EDHS OCAD team.
El Dorado High School’s freshman/sophomore Academic Decathlon team had a very successful season for the 2017-18 school year!  In total, the team competed against 19 other high schools throughout competition season.  In the end, the Golden Hawks had the 5th highest score overall and 4th in the Superquiz competition.

The team was lead by teacher, Bob Kanne, and included the following students — Daniel Aquino, Isabella Clark, Alex Hernandez, Jenna Martinez, Anita Mohajeri, Krystal Negri, Romney Olson, Maverick Shuck, Bertina Sung, Levana Sung, Faustina Tran, Alyson Tsai, Allyson Weisel, Jamie Weisel, Peter Weisel, and Sarah Yee.

Besides their team accomplishments, students also earned individual medals including Levana Sung, six, and Daniel Aquino, five.  Peter Weisel and Anita Mohajeri also earned medals.  Romney Olson had the highest score on the team in three subjects (Science, Math, and Art) as did Alyson Tsai (Lit, Music, and Social Science).  Sarah Yee was highest in Essay and Anita Mohajeri was highest in Speech.  Congratulations to all Golden Hawk OCAD students!
