Glenknoll Elementary School’s Peer Assisted Leaders (PAL) have expanded their vision and recently set out to ask local community members for donations, which would allow them to send care packages to actively deployed military soldiers.
As a result of their efforts, the Cougars were able to drop off over 500 items at the donation center this week! The center was blown away by the school’s students and families.
“We are thankful to our supportive community that allowed our student leaders to support this organization,” shared David Cammarato, principal.
PAL students made the fliers and posters, collected items, emailed back and forth with the donation center, and most importantly, were passionate in helping their community. Great job, Glenknoll leaders!
