Rose Drive families treated to a night of science at the Aquarium of the Pacific

On the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 10, Rose Drive Elementary School fifth grade students and their families were treated to a special night of science and engineering at the Aquarium of the Pacific.

This event provided an opportunity for our students to visit the Aquarium after regular hours to interact with aquarium staff, as well as scientists and engineers from JPL, NASA, the National Weather Service, Northrop Grumman, the USC Edmands Lab and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles.

The theme of the night was “You are the Data.” In addition to visiting all of the aquarium exhibits, students and families participated in data-gathering activities. “Science on a Sphere” was a hit, as was the 3D film on penguins.

Thanks to the Aquarium of the Pacific for a fun night of learning!
