Congratulations to Yorba Linda High School (YLHS) counselor, Lorri Walls, for being presented with the High School Counselor Award by the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. According to OCDE, the Counselor Recognition and Counselor Advocate Awards program was established in 2018 to spotlight the County’s top professional counselors and their contributions to positive school climates and student success.

Walls has served the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) as a counselor for over 23 years, beginning at Esperanza High School. She then moved to YLHS with the opening of the school in 2009.
