As an extension of The Great Kindness Challenge week at Wagner Elementary School in Placentia, students collected four full boxes of loved and used crayons that will be melted, molded, and redistributed to various children’s hospitals across the nation.

Crayon initiative at Wagner ES.This effort is spearheaded by The Crayon Initiative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to sorting countless crayons in their own backyard, cooking them down in their kitchen, and recycling them for future creative use.

“At Wagner, choosing kind is who we are and what we do, 365!” shared Principal Janice Weber. “Thank you to the PTA for their support and help in this effort.”
