Lakeview Elementary hosts annual Family Science Night and Fair

Lakeview Science Fair 2019.

Lakeview Elementary School’s annual Science Fair and Family Night was another hit! This year’s theme was, Science…Dive In. Over 100 students signed attended the evening along with their parents and loved ones. Several Valencia High School students even joined in on the fun by volunteering their time to help run hands-on learning stations in the various science strands.

Lakeview’s very own 4th and 5th grade G.A.T.E. students demonstrated the Sphero robots and led ocean floor sounding and battleship games. One of the biggest hits of the night was the squid dissections led by Valencia teacher, Mrs. Bonet.

On display were over 60 optional science fair experiment boards from students in all grades from Preppy K through 5th. Each student who participated in the science fair had an interview with guest judges including Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District administrators and R.E.A.C.H. Foundation members. Lakeview thanks the judges for donating their time in benefit of the success of the event.

Congratulations to each Science Fair participant for taking a risk, challenging themselves, and showing grit by honoring their commitment. Go, Lions!
