Glenknoll Elementary School 50th anniversary celebration.

Glenknoll Elementary School’s 50th anniversary celebration will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2019 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The celebration will be followed by a reception for guests in the multi-purpose room at 2:15 p.m. where attendees will have the opportunity to view memorabilia and artifacts collected from the past 50 years .

Glenknoll was the eleventh school built by the Placentia Unified School District during a rapid expansion era that began in 1959. Glenknoll first opened its doors in Yorba Linda in 1968 along with fellow Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) campuses Tuffree Middle and Brookhaven Elementary. Glenknoll creates an environment that enriches the lives of approximately 500 students and has a rich history and connection to the community that makes Glenknoll such a great place for kids to learn!

“Our team has been planning for some time and we plan to reflect on how Glenknoll has impacted students over the last 50 years, its impact on the community, and to look into the future to celebrate the next 50 years,” shared Glenknoll Principal David Cammarato.

The initial celebration will be followed by an all-school carnival for Glenknoll students taking place Friday, April 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. on the school’s lower field.

“We look forward to a memorable, fun-filled day reflecting on the impact of Glenknoll Elementary over the past 50 years and cordially invite all members of our community to join in this celebration,” Cammarato ended.
