During the 1st annual PYLUSD Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 9, Valencia High School AVID teachers Corinna Harnett and Rosina Talamantes presented three informational sessions to Valadez Middle School Academy parents.

The teachers were joined by 11th-grade AVID student Yuvia Paz-Granados in a session themed “Supporting Your Student in High School.” The presenting team was also joined by two Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) technology specialists who assisted by getting parents connected with Aeries Parent Portal accounts.

Parents were encouraged to become a part of the Tiger family early by attending sporting, performing arts, and activity events at Valencia. The team also advertised their Tiger University Parent Workshops, Tiger Tutoring, and Attendance Hotline.

“We were inspired by the attendance at the community event and grateful to the event’s organizers,” shared assistant principal, Michael Young.
