Van Buren students pay tribute to Black History Month

Van Buren students with school reports.

Sixth grade students at Van Buren Elementary School celebrated Black History Month in February. Each student researched a famous individual that has made an impact on society. According to teachers Mrs. Vale, Mrs. Nguyen, and Mrs. Shibata-Ellis, research was done in the form of a written report and poster. Students then shared their information with their peers in an oral presentation.

“We are proud of our 6th grade Roadrunners!” the teachers said.
