St. Patrick’s Day fun at George Key School

George Key School on St. Patrick's Day.

George Key students and staff had a splendid time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. The day started with a search of the school for the leprechaun who sprung all of the student made leprechaun traps. Sadly, he was never found, but he left behind some yummy cookies and a whole lot of glitter!

Later in the day, the green drink contest took place in the student life skills kitchen. The speech pathology team, Amanda and Melanie, as well as principal, Kim Smith, were the judges. Some classes were naughty and others were nice, but at the end, three certificates were presented for best overall, best presentation, and best effort.

For three years running, congratulations to Miss Patti’s class for being awarded best effort!

“I can still taste the whipped cream topped pea soup. Thank you Key students and staff for making the leprechauns proud in your celebration!” shared Principal Smith.
