R.E.A.C.H. Foundation awards George Key School $1,000 for participation in annual Shamrock ‘n Run

It pays to be a small school with students, parents, and staff who support the District’s Education Foundation, R.E.A.C.H. George Key School was awarded $1,000 for having the greatest number of participant relative to their school’s population at the annual Shamrock ‘n Run!

George Key Shamrock n Run 3-17-19George Key School spent Sunday, March 17 with their school community for a walk/jog/roll around Yorba Regional Park for a good cause at the annual event. According to Principal Kim Smith, her students were all smiles as they navigated the course.

“We were very fortunate to have students from Mr. Nakanishi’s 6th grade class from Brookhaven to push our students for the 5K,” she shared. “Anytime our students get chances to interact with their typical peers is a win for everyone.”

George Key is grateful for the young students willingness to help, and their compassion for their wonderful students.

“Thank you to the REACH foundation for your support of our schools, and to the district for the extra incentive to participate. George Key will use these funds well,” Smith said.

The R.E.A.C.H. Foundation is an all-volunteer, education focused, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in benefit of PYLUSD students district-wide. Thank you, R.E.A.C.H.!
