On Friday, March 15, students in the Kraemer Middle School AVID program attended a field trip to University of California, Irvine (UCI). Students experienced college life and became honorary anteaters before taking a campus-wide tours to learn about all that UCI has to offer.
AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a nationwide non-profit organization devoted to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
