In its second year offering this opportunity, the Southern California Schools Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) held live auditions for its Elementary Honor Band and Elementary Honor Orchestra. These SCSBOA Honor Groups are a wonderful opportunity for more motivated instrumentalists to play in a large, fully instrumentated band or string orchestra.
We are pleased to announce that the following PYLUSD students were accepted into the these prestigious ensembles:
Elementary Honor Band

- Katrina Horn, alto saxophone — Fairmont
- Jonathan Marchese, flute — Brookhaven
- Brad Methe, trombone — Lakeview
- Evelyn Wu, flute — Fairmont
Elementary Honor Orchestra
- Maya Pompel, violin – Wagner
The Elementary Honor Band and Elementary Honor Orchestra will perform at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove on Jan. 23, 2016.
