Valencia High School provides free clothing to the community through Tiger’s Closet initiative

The grand opening of Tiger’s Closet at Valencia High School on Saturday, June 1 was a great success! The school was able to give away over 350 items of gently used clothing to an estimated 40 families in the area.

The Valencia Service Committee accepted clothing donations all spring in order to put on their first “Tiger’s Closet” event, where members of the community were able to stop by and receive free clothing. The school gives a special thank you to Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Board of Education Clerk, Judi Carmona, who collaborates with the non-profit Charity’s Closet, and provided at least ten bags of clothing donations to the cause.

“We could not have done it without all your amazing donations and the hard work of these students! Stay tuned for Tiger’s Closet donations and openings next year,” shared Valencia teacher Rebecca Bonet.
