Yorba Linda High School 2019 commencement ceremony

YLHS graduation 2019.

On Wednesday, June 12, Yorba Linda High School (YLHS) held its 2019 commencement ceremony in Nathan Shapell Memorial Stadium where 440 Mustangs were awarded their high school diploma.

Notably, 96% of those 440 seniors have enrolled to continue their education in two or four-year colleges or universities following graduation.  In addition, the YLHS Class of 2019 included 16 National Merit and Commended Scholars, earned $4.2 million dollars in college scholarships and grants, and donated over 47,000 hours of service back to their community!

The ceremony included honored guests such as Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Board of Education Vice President, Eric Padget, Clerk, Judi Carmona, and Trustee, Karin Freeman, as well as Assistant Superintendents, David Giordano and Rick Lopez, Executive Director, Richard McAlindin, Directors, Dr. Linda Adamson and Paula Sitar, and Principal Dave Flynn.

Student speakers for the ceremony included Senior Class President, Tyler Padgett, ASB President, Lauren Bui, and 2019 Co-Valedictorians, Blake Han and Andrew Song.
