Esperanza’s Medical Sciences Academy supports Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of September being Pediatric Cancer Awareness month, Esperanza High School’s Health Occupational Students of America (HOSA) hosted a card making event for the pediatric patients at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, known as CHOC.

The outcome was overwhelming with over 300 cards custom made by Aztecs across campus! A former Medical Sciences Academy student, who is now a nurse at CHOC, will pick up the cards and deliver them to the pediatric patients currently at the hospital.

Esperanza HOSA and the student body hope to put a smile on the faces of the patients as they focus on becoming well and healing.
