Placentia PD officers make a special visit to Morse Elementary School for Red Ribbon Week

Morse Elementary School red ribbon week with PPD.

As part of Morse Elementary School’s Red Ribbon Week, students received a special visit from Placentia Police Department. Every year in October, Red Ribbon Week is dedicated to educating students about drug prevention. The theme of the day for Red Ribbon Week was, “Team Up Against Drugs.”

As honorary members of the Morse team, Officers Ace and Keiry, along with their human counterparts, Officer King and Officer Martinez spent lunchtime visiting with students.

Students had the opportunity to pet the four-legged officers while asking questions of their partners. Students learned that the five year old canine officers assist Placentia PD in catching people who disobey the law.

Students enjoyed visiting with the officers and learning something new about our community helpers,” Principal Tonya Gordillo shared.
