Day of the Dead Community Night at Valencia High School

Valencia High School hosted their popular Day of the Dead Community Night on October 30, 2019. Many current and future Tigers performed in baile folklórico groups, Aztec dance, mariachi, and special la llorona dance.

Families and community members braved the cold and windy evening in order to enjoy the event and all it had to offer including performances, food, an art exhibit, and more.

The school’s World Languages and Visual Arts departments and their students were responsible for organizing the event and producing the artwork in the exhibit. The Art Club painted lent a helping hand for the event to provide face-painting and student helpers.

“I can’t be more proud of how our students performed last night,” shared Valencia World Languages Teacher and Department Chair, David Hatori. “We are looking forward to a bigger event next year!”
