On November 2, the program traveled south to compete against some of San Diego’s finest music programs. They earned awards for High Music Performance, High Music Effect, High Visual Performance, High Visual Effect, 2nd place Color Guard, 1st place Percussion and were named Field Tournament Champions.

EDHS followed up this accomplishment by competing at the Duarte Field Tournament on November 7 and earned the Field Tournament Championship while taking home awards for High Music Performance, High Visual Performance, High Visual Effect, 2nd place Color Guard, and 2nd place Percussion.

To end the regular season, El Dorado performed at the Southwest Regional in Riverside on November 9 and ended on a high note. They earned awards for High Music Performance, High Visual Effect, 2nd place Color Guard, and were once again named Field Tournament Champions.

The Golden Hawks Marching Band will end their 2019 season with an appearance at the SCSBOA 6A Championships on November 23 at Citrus College. There, they will be performing among some of Southern California’s best marching bands. Performance time is 7:40 pm. Go, EDHS!
