Placentia Chamber of Commerce supports PYLUSD teachers with educator grants

Placentia Chamber of Commerce teacher grant.Representatives from the Placentia Chamber of Commerce present Valencia High School School teacher Tara Filowitz with a grant for $1,000. District and school administrators were also in attendance for the check presentation, which will be used to support the school's annual TEDx event.

To kick off the new calendar year, the Placentia Chamber of Commerce awarded seven educator grants to Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) teachers. The grants, which total over $5,000, provide funds to support innovative and collaborative classroom projects that will directly impact and enhance learning experiences for PYLUSD students.

A few examples of the grant funded projects include purchasing virtual reality goggles, a 3-D printer, and inventory for an e-commerce website. Congratulations to the following teachers:

Stephen Faller, Travis Ranch School
