“Soup”er Bowl canned food drive at Lakeview Elementary School

Lakeview Elementary School’s student leadership program, known as the GLEE Club, held their first annual “Soup”er Bowl! As a part of this initiative, the Lions encouraged their peers to bring in over 1,800 cans of food and boxes of cereal to benefit the nonprofit organization Pathways of Hope. Pathways of Hope provides food to Fullerton families and individuals facing homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity.

Some of the food items were also placed in a local “Blessing Box” in Placentia. Blessing Boxes are small structures where people leave donated goods for others to pick up anonymously. Located in a common area, people are filling them with items that will help those in need including non-perishable food to toiletries.

The “Soup”er Bowl was an amazing event that will help so many people in the community! Way to go, Lions!
