The week of February 17, Esperanza High School’s boys and girls wrestling teams competed in the Division 1 CIF championships. The boys had 3 champions including Aaron Nagao, Joey Mora, and tournament MVP Elijah Holiday. The Aztecs also qualified a school record of 8 wrestlers for the Southern Section Championships.
Continuing with the winning streak, three girls also qualified for the Southern Section Championships including Maykayla Rydbeck, Kameron Sudol, and Kaylee Bramlette. Way to go, Aztecs!
