On February 24, Valencia High School hosted a “You are a Smart Cookie” event for AVID seniors with an overall 3.0 GPA. Seniors were invited to pick up a Paradise Bakery cookie to celebrate their academic achievement of earning over a 3.0 GPA.
“Though our AVID celebrations may look different this year, we continue to find ways to recognize student achievement and hard work,”Assistant Principal Paige Stills shared. “A sweet treat is just a small way to say, good job!”
Counselor Liz Nasfouf also remarked, “The fact that 90% of our AVID seniors were able to maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher is an incredible feat despite the challenges and unknowns that these seniors have had to face over the past year. I am so proud of them all!”
