Over the month of March, students at Ruby Drive Elementary School participated in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. To begin the month, the school celebrated with a fun assembly that taught students different ways to be heart healthy. Students were shown how to access the daily activities on the American Heart Association’s website and how to take the pledge to be heart healthy!

Throughout the month, students were able to earn prizes and badges when they raised money for the Heart Association or participated in online activities at home. All together Ruby Drive raised a total of $1,634.04! The top student, Jasiah Jones, raised over $600 by himself. Mrs. Valerio’s class raised over $350 and Linda Hagar, a Ruby Drive special education aide, raised over $130. Way to be heart healthy, staff and students of Ruby Drive!
