George Key School receives generous donation from Yorba Linda Rotary to fund adapted technology for students

George Key School.

On October 15, members of the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club presented George Key School with a generous donation. The staff at George Key will use the money to expand their adapted technology offerings for students. The technology will include specialized switches and other communication devices, which will allow students to have meaningful connections with staff and peers. It will also expand students’ ability to participate in activities such as gardening and playing musical instruments on the school campus.

Over the years, the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary has sponsored several important projects at George Key School including plants and materials for their sensory garden, equipment for our sensory room, and updated technology for their computer lab. In fact, the Rotary has been a partner to the school in Placentia for over 30 years.

Principal Rebecca Allan expressed her gratitude for the Rotarians, sharing about how the donation will have a significant positive impact on the school’s student population.

Thank you, YL Sunrise Rotary!
