Rio Vista Elementary students benefit from Meet the Masters art program

Rio Vista Elementary has brought back the arts through the program called “Meet the Masters.” Meet the Masters at Rio Vista is funded by the district McKinney Vento grant.  The master studied was Pablo Picasso from his Cubism period.  Students learned about the periods of Picasso through an assembly, then got the opportunity to create their own masterpiece.  Teachers stay after school to get a hands-on lesson on exactly how to teach the art. There are four different levels so the entire school gets to participate in making their own Picasso.  It is an excellent way to explore the Masters!  Good job, Rio Vista!
