Rio Vista welcomes opportunity for students to participate in GOALS once again

Rio Vista GOALs.

GOALS is back at Rio Vista Elementary School! After a year off due to the pandemic, it is nice to see the students back on the ice at the Rinks in Anaheim. In partnership with GOALS (Growth Opportunities through Athletics Learning and Service) and the CASA program, over 900 Rio Vista students have learned to play hockey since it started at the school in 2005. Upper-grade students learn about the sport in a class once a week then head to the ice to participate in hockey. This year Rio Vista has enough students to form two teams. All but two had never participated in GOALS before and after 3 weeks of practice, students are doing amazingly well on the ice. Way to go, Rio Vista!
