El Dorado High School was extremely honored to be able to recognize two of their very own Olympians from the summer 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. This includes Kelly Claes, Class of 2013, and Janie Reed Takeda, Class of 2011, who participated in the Summer Olympics in beach volleyball and softball, respectively. Janie helped Team USA earn a silver medal
During their time at El Dorado, both were outstanding athletes and also strong students. Kelly played collegiately at USC and Janie played at the University of Oregon. Janie was able to attend El Dorado’s winter rally for the unveiling of her banner in the Joe Raya gymnasium.
