Lakeview Elementary School students in Mrs. Olson and Mrs. Riggio’s class have been busy learning about elapsed time and reading data within various types of graphs in the newly adopted math series, “Math Expressions.” Students enjoyed working on their Chromebooks to reinforce these new skills. One activity they loved was spending time in Lakeview’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) lab creating their own survey to give to their peers in class. Once they collected their data, they inputted the information into a frequency table, line plot and digital bar graph. There are lots of creative learning environments established at Lakeview, and the students are growing and having fun!
