El Camino Real High School celebrates its Class of 2022

On Tuesday, June 14, El Camino Real High School (ECRHS) held its 2022 commencement ceremony in Bradford Stadium at Valencia High School. Following the 2021-2022 school year, the school awarded 79 students with their high school diplomas.

Honored guests including Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Board of Education President Carrie Buck, Vice President Marilyn Anderson, Trustee Karin Freeman, Superintendent Dr. Jim Elsasser, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Linda Adamson, Director of High Schools Gina Aguilar, and Principal Carey Aiello.

The ceremony also included a list of speakers including students Sidney Juarez and Desiree Onofre. Both graduates delivered speeches filled with themes of perseverance and gratitude towards the unique environment El Camino Real offered as a continuation high school. They also thanked the Raptors’ dedicated faculty and staff for their unwavering support to their graduating class.

Of the 79 ECRHS students, 57% of graduates indicated they plan to enroll in college after graduation, 31% have selected a trade school, and two plan to enlist in the military while others will begin to work full time. The ECRHS Class of 2022 also earned nearly $8,000 in local scholarships. Congratulations, graduates!
