El Dorado High School celebrates its Class of 2022

El Dorado High graduation

El Dorado High School (EDHS) held its commencement ceremony on Wednesday, June 15, in Bradford Stadium. The Golden Hawk Class of 2022 included 455 graduating seniors; 93% of which have committed to attend a two or four-year college or university following graduation.

The ceremony included honored guests such as Board of Education President Carrie Buck, Vice President Marilyn Anderson, and Trustee Karin Freeman as well as the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) ASsistant Superintendents Dr. Linda Adamson and Richard McAlindin, Executive Director Renee Gray, Director Paul Juarez, and Principal Joey Davis.

Graduating students Emma Alberto, Krista Tsai, and Katherine Norton all addressed their fellow peers and the crowded stadium with words of reflection, wisdom, and inspiration revolving around their time as Golden Hawks.

Upon receiving their diplomas, the Golden Hawks tossed their caps in the air to soar, signifying the end of their time in PYLUSD. Congratulations, Golden Hawks!
