Valencia High School celebrates its Class of 2022

Valencia High School graduation.

On Thursday, June 16, Valencia High School (VHS) held its 87th commencement ceremony where 608 seniors were presented their high school diploma in Bradford Stadium. The VHS Class of 2022 included a record number—160—of Val Tech diploma recipients as well as 50 dual Val Tech/International Baccalaureate diploma earners.

Thursday’s ceremony included honored guests such as Board of Education President Carrie Buck, Vice President Marilyn Anderson, and Trustee Karin Freeman as well as Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Assistant Superintendents Dr. Linda Adamson and Richard McAlindin, Executive Director Renee Gray, Directors Nancy Blade and Keith Carmona, and Principal Chris Herzfeld.

Students Sean Joo and Ximena Flores delivered speeches filled with reflective memories and heartfelt gratitude towards VHS, fellow graduates, and supportive loved ones. After Principal Herzfeld congratulated the Class of 2022 and instructed the students to turn their tassels from right to left, the stadium roared with cheers for the Tigers. Congratulations, graduates!
