Linda Vista Elementary named one of Orange County’s best schools in local parenting magazine

Linda Vista Elementary School

Congratulations are in order for Linda Vista Elementary School in Yorba Linda. The Lions were recently selected as Orange County’s Best Public Elementary School as a part of Parenting OC Magazine’s 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards! The school will be featured in the September edition of the print and online magazine.

Parenting OC is a regional parenting magazine based in Orange County, California. It covers various topics including contests, family-friendly calendar events, advice on relevant issues for parents, and more. Each year, the magazine asks its readers to vote for the “best” in several categories ranging from schools, businesses, and services offered throughout Orange County.

Linda Vista Elementary School first opened its doors in 1975 and is named for the street on which it is located. It was originally a part of the Yorba Linda School District before the district’s 1989 merger to become the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. The school serves approximately 500 students in grades preschool through fifth grade. The principal is Kristen Petrovacki.

The Lions may now add the title of “Best Public Elementary School” to a long list of awards including National Blue Ribbon School, California Distinguished School, and California Gold Ribbon School. Great job, Lions!
