Melrose Elementary School students receive books from Helpful Honda People

Melrose event

On Wednesday, September 21, the Helpful Honda People of Southern California passed out free books to all students at Melrose Elementary School in Placentia. The students received an individualized book according to their grade level. The team from Honda and district and school administrators then helped students sign their names in their books to take home and enjoy with their loved ones.

This event was a part of Honda’s ongoing Random Acts of Helpfulness campaign, which invites Southern California residents to share what they need a little help with by tagging #HelpMeHonda on Twitter and Facebook. Melrose Elementary was nominated for this opportunity on social media.

“I’d like to thank Ms. Leslie Ramirez, our library/tech aide, for nominating our school, Helpful Honda for their generous donations of beautiful books, and Superintendent Dr. Matthews and members of his cabinet for supporting this exciting event,” Principal Janie Yoo shared. “Our community was so ecstatic to begin reading their personalized books!”
